HAIRBALL BUSTER – CHEAP, WEIRD, EFFECTIVE, DELISH

Why deal with vomit-encrusted fur tangles when you can stop the retching before it starts?

Every afternoon I mix water, canned cat food and pumpkin up for my kitty girls Tinkerbelle and Purmione.

I add a little cat grass when I’ve got enough growing.

They love the concoction and stumble all over themselves and each other when it’s served.

They even beg for plain pumpkin when I open the jar to add some to my coffee.

Their veterinarian told me about this hairball-preventing pumpkin ploy.

It works like gangbusters to keep their digestive tracts clear.

Tinkerbelle!

I bet it also help the kitties with hydration.

One caveat: the vet said not to give them “too much”.

It can cause some unpronounceable medical issue.

Though we didn’t talk about how much is ‘too much’, he did say that up to 1 tablespoon per day is fine for an average healthy cat (mine are 9#s each).

I stick with that and they’re thrilled with their 3:30p.m. treat.

Who’d have thought cats would adore cooked squash mush.

Hairball Relief Recipe:

  • 1/4 can wet cat food
  • 1 tbsp canned pumpkin
  • 1-2 tbsp filtered water
  • A pinch – or more – of homegrown cat grass

Mix well and serve daily for happy healthy cats!

And a less stressed-out me. I’ve got enough to clean : )
